Christmas Tradition 9: Neighbor and Community Helper Gifts

One thing I want my children to know is the joy in giving.  We can give because Christ gave to us.  When giving gifts to our neighbors and community helpers (think mail man, UPS, Fed Ex etc.)  I wanted to find something that Lorelei could be involved in.  I know we could bake but sometimes don't you just want to get out of the box?  I truly feel I spend a lot of time in the kitchen with cooking Real Food/Paleo for my family.  I don't mind...but...

So, a friend posted this link with super sweet gift tags for making birdseed ornaments as gifts.  I used the idea and gift tags but needed another "recipe" for the ornaments because I didn't have unflavored gelatin in the house and when the grocery store (ok there is one that is about 10 minutes away but I always feel as if I need a shower afterwards)  is half an hour away and you have two kids...one snotty and coughy and one that um...has a lot to say...you find alternative means when possible.

So, I found this recipe that used nuts, birdseed, and coconut oil.  This I could do.  And Lorelei could do.  So, we did.
